Crayola Catwalk Creations

My daughter got 'Crayola Catwalk Creations' for Christmas and hasn't stopped designing and creating since.

These are just a few of the creations we have created so far.......

Model of a WWII Air Raid Shelter

Model of a WWII Air Raid Shelter.

My daughter made this model of a WWII Air Raid Shelter for a School Project.

The Sandbags where made from calico fabric, which were dyed with tea bags. My daughter machine sewed all the individual bags and then filled with rice.

She used cardboard for the bunk beds and table, scraps of fabric, lollipop sticks for the bench, beads for the candlesticks and dough (water and flour) which was baked in the oven for the foodl

Model Tudor House School Project

My daughter made this Tudor House for a School Project.

The house was made from off-cuts of mdf supplied from the local wood merchant (charged a nominal amount as it was for a school project).

Most of the furniture was made from the scraps of mdf. The bedding, pillows and red cushions where made from scraps of fabric.

Food was made using flour and water and then baked in the oven and painted with watercolours and then hardened using PVA glue and water.

Plates where made using thin strips of paper (quilling method).

Black strips to the house where achieved using strips of black card, thought it would look better then trying to paint thin strips (we thought it looked better).

We used battery operated lights to create light coming from the fireplaces.

She loved doing this project and I enjoyed helping her complete the finished look.
